Objective: To research the anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects of Yinqin oral liquid and its effects on immune function of mice. Methods: Models of xylene-induced ear swelling in mice
egg white-induced toe swelling in mice
Escherichia coli endotoxin-induced fever in rabbits
and cyclophosphamide-induced immunodeficiency in mice were established. The anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects of Yinqin oral liquid and its effects on the phagocytic activity of macrophages and serum hemolysin in immunocompromised mice were observed. Results: Yinqin oral liquid of 2.5 g/kg and 5.0 g/kg can significantly reduce xylene-induced ear swelling in mice and egg white-induced toe swelling in mice
and decrease the body temperature of rabbits with fever (for 12 h). Meanwhile
Yinqin oral liquid can increase the phagocytic activity of macrophages and promote the production of hemolysin (P<0.01). Conclusion: Yinqin oral liquid has significant anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects
