:Objective To explore the association of plasma apolipoprotein E (ApoE) with plasma lipids in survivors of old myocardial infarction. Methods The study consisted of 47 control subjects and 55 patients with old myocardial infarction. The plasma ApoE was detected by immunoturbidimetric assay. Results In comparision
the plasma ApoE level (5.21±1.46mg/dl) was higher statistically(t =12.01
P<0.05) in the patient group than the control group (4.12±1.72mg/dl)
However
there was not any relationship of ApoE to TC
LDL-C
HDL-C and TG statistically(r=0.06~0.67
P>0.05) in patients with old myocardial infarction. Conclusion The significant elevation of plasma ApoE did not correlate with plasma lipids in survivors of old myocardial infarction.
