Objective:The free radical has a very important effect in many disease process. Interior substance is one of the most important anti-free radical protective system. Methods:This paper investigated the changes of serum protein sulfhydryl (PSH) and non-protein sulfhydryI (NPSH) of children suffering from cold
diarrhea and pneumonia. Results:The serum NPSH decreases markedly in children with diarrhea and pneumonia
the total sulfhydryl and protein bind sulfhydryl do not change obviously. Conclusion:This research suggests that free radical may increase in pneumonia and diarrhea that wastes the sulfhydryl substances.
