Objective:To investigate the effect of quality control circle activity based on CATCH mode in reducing the incidence rate of falls in elderly ophthalmic patients

and to provide a basis for developing a standardized management process. Methods:A total of 1 136 elderly ophthalmic patients who were treated in our hospital from January to December

were enrolled as control group and were given routine nursing management to prevent falls; 1 367 patients who were treated in our hospital from January to December

2018

were enrolled as observation group and were given quality control circle activity based on CATCH mode to prevent falls. The incidence rates of falls and injuries were compared between the two groups; a questionnaire survey was used to evaluate the degree of mastery of preventive measures for falls and the degree of satisfaction during hospitalization; the chi-square test was used for statistical analysis.
