Objective To improve the departmental-level cadres’ cognition of disulfiram-like reaction and reduce its occurrence rate.Method 158 departmental-level cadres in Jingzhou area in 2010 were chosen to be educated with health education on disulfiram-like reaction

and an investigation was conducted on their cognition of disulfiram-like reaction before and after the health education.Results The cadres’ cognition on disulfiram-like reaction was obviously improved after health education.The alcohol-drinking control rate increased from 39.24% to 58.23% and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.01）.Conclusion The disulfiram-like reaction relies much on prevention

and the health education has a significant meaning in preventing the disulfiram-like reaction.
