Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a significant complication of diabetes and a major cause of heart failure and mortal⁃ ity in diabetic patients. Early diagnosis of DCM is beneficial for patients to receive effective treatment in time，so as to achieve the best prognosis. However，due to an insidious onset of DCM，the lack of specific clinical manifestations，and the current diagnosis of DCM is still an exclusive diagnosis，resulting in clinical misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. Therefore，early diagnosis of DCM remains a critical and challenging issue in clinical practice. Recently，the exploration of serum biomarkers and the application of imaging techniques such as echocardiography and cardiac magnetic resonance have facilitated the detection of early DCM lesions.. This article reviewed the early diagnosis and treatment of DCM，aiming to serve as a clinical reference.
