Prediction of gastrointestinal bleeding by blood routine in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura[J]. Journal of Southwest Medical University, 2022,45(4):328-331. DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2096-3351.2022.04.009.
Objective To explore the value of blood routine in predicting gastrointestinal bleeding in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP). Methods Retrospectively analyzed the children with HSP who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2016 to May 2020. The white blood cell count (WBC),neutrophil count (GR),lymphocyte count (LY),platelets count (PLT),mean platelet volume (MPV),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were evaluated. The correlation between markers and HSP gastrointestinal bleeding was analyzed with expertise and good data fitting. Results A total of 308 HSP patients were enrolled in this study,of which 155 (50.3%) had gastrointestinal lesions and 74 (24%) had gastrointestinal bleeding. Selection of fitted models and Logistic regression analysis showed that GY and PLR were potential risk factors for HSP gastrointestinal bleeding. The best cut-off value of GY was 7.72,and the sensitivity and specificity were 54.1% and 69.7%,respectively; the best cut-off value of PLR was 161.03,and the sensitivity and specificity were 54.1% and 71.4%,respectively. Conclusion GR and PLR may be the potential predictors of gastrointestinal bleeding in children with HSP.
