Imaging evaluations and artificial intelligence for cholangiocarcinoma[J]. Journal of Southwest Medical University, 2021,44(5):491-499. DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.2096-3351.2021.05.011.
Cholangiocarcinoma(CCA),which arises from the biliary epithelium and adjacent glands, repre⁃sents the second most common malignant hepatobiliary tumor following hepatocellular carcinoma. Patients with CCA face a very poor prognosis. At present, only surgery may cure CCA,but local recurrence and distant metastasis are frequent. As our understanding of the development and progression of CCA has increased in recent years, diagnostic and evaluative techniques have evolved, and novel therapeutic approaches have been emerging. This review pro⁃vides an overview of preoperative imaging evaluations of CCA and advances in the application of artificial intelli⁃gence in the diagnosis and treatment of CCA.
