Objective To evaluate the degree of liver fibrosis and steatosis
and their correlation in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy(DN)by Fibro Touch technique. Methods Ninety patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy were enrolled and divided into three groups according to the level of estimate glomerular filtration rate(eGFR):eGFR≥90 ml·min
-1
·1.73 m
-2
as group A(n=30)
60 ml·min
-1
·1.73 m
-2
≤ eGFR
<
90 ml·min
-1
·1.73 m
-2
as group B(n=30)and eGFR
<
60 ml·min
-1
·1.73 m
-2
as group C(n=30). Meanwhile
30 healthy volunteers were enrolled as control group. The fat attenuation value and the liver stiffness value of above groups were obtained by Fibro Touch technique
and the correlation was analyzed. Results The fat attenuation values and the liver stiffness values of group A
B and C were significantly higher than that of control group(all P
<
0.05).The fat attenuation values and the liver stiffness values of group B and C were higher than those of group A(P
<
0.05)
and group C were higher than those of group B(all P
<
0.05). The fat attenuation value was positively correlated with the liver stiffness value(r=0.733
P
<
0.01).Conclusion The degree of liver steatosis and fibrosis of DN patients can be evaluated accurately and non-invasively by Fibro Touch technique with an important clinical value.
