Objective To compare the application value of echocardiography and CT pulmonary angiography(CTPA)in monitoring right ventricular function and pulmonary vascular pressure in pulmonary hypertensio(PH).Methods Rightventricular function and pulmonary vascular structure were measured by echocardiography and CTPA in 42 patients with PH
the correlation was analyzed.Right ventricular ejection fraction(RVEF)
right ventricular area change rate(RVFAC)
tricuspidannulus systolic displacement(TAPSE)
right ventricular myocardial function Tei index(RV Tei)in patients with differentdegrees of PH were measured and compared. Results Right atrial transverse diameter
right atrial upper and lower diameter
the values of right ventricular basal segment inner diameter
right ventricular anterior wall thickness and the ratio of rightventricular transverse diameter and heart transverse diameter were measured by CTPA were significantly higher than those byechocardiography(all P<0.05).The results of two methods had a certain correlation(r=0.381
0.434
0.416
0.546
0.486
allP<0.05).The diameter of pulmonary artery trunk and the ratio of main pulmonary artery diameter to ascending aorta diameter(rPA)measured by CTPA were higher than those by echocardiography(all P<0.05)
and the results of two methods werepositively correlated(r=0.453
0.422
both P<0.05).There were significant differences in the RVEF
RVFAC
RV Tei index ofpatients with different degree of PH(all P<0.05).Conclusion Both echocardiography and CTPA can be used to monitor theright ventricular function and pulmonary vascular pressure in PH patients
but echocardiography can also directly monitor thepulmonary vascular pressure
