OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of Tianchan capsules combined with Oxycodone hydrochloride sustained release tablets in the treatment of cancer pain of advanced gastric cancer and its effect on quality of life. METHODS: Totally 113 patients with advanced gastric cancer complicated with cancer pain admitted into Qinhuangdao Jungong Hospital from Feb. 2017 to Feb. 2021 were divided into combined group（56 cases） and control group（57 cases） via random number table

the control group was treated with Oxycodone hydrochloride sustained release tablets

while the combined group was given Tianchan capsules based on the control group. The clinical efficacy

incidences of adverse drug reactions and quality of life before and after treatment were compared between two groups. RESULTS: The effective rate of analgesia of combined group was 94.64%（53/56）

significantly better than that of the control group（77.19%

44/57）

with statistically significant difference（P<0.05）. After treatment

the VAS scores of both groups were significantly lower than before treatment

and the VAS score of the combined group was significantly lower than that of the control group

with statistically significant differences（P<0.05）. After treatment

social function and material life of combined group were significantly higher than those of the control group

with statistically significant differences（P<0.05）. The incidences of adverse drug reactions such as gastrointestinal reaction

myelosuppression

liver function damage and peripheral neurotoxicity in the combined group was 16.07%（9/56）

which had no statistical significance in comparison with 24.56%（14/57）in the control group（P>0.05）. CONCLUSIONS: The clinical efficacy of Tianchan capsules combined with Oxycodone hydrochloride sustained release tablets in the treatment of cancer pain of advanced gastric cancer is remarkable

which can not only effectively relieve cancer cancer pain

but also improve quality of life

with higher safety.
