OBJECTIVE: To investigate the application status of antidepressant drugs in inpatients with depressive disorder in Beijing Anding Hospital
Capital Medical University( hereinafter referred to as "our hospital")
so as to provide evidence for the rational application of antidepressant drugs in clinical practice. METHODS: Based on the medical orders of antidepressant drugs in inpatients with depressive disorder in our hospital in 2019
the demographic data of patients
the categories of antidepressant drugs used by patients of different age
the categories and frequencies of single antidepressant drugs
and the dose of patients of different age and gender were investigated and analyzed.Characteristics of antidepressant drugs applied in inpatients with depressive disorder were explored. RESULTS: A total of 1 554 patients were enrolled
the top 5 antidepressant drugs ranked by application frequency were respectively sertraline hydrochloride
escitalopram oxalate
venlafaxine hydrochloride
duloxetine hydrochloride and paroxetine hydrochloride. Among single antidepressant drugs
sertraline hydrochloride
escitalopram oxalate and venlafaxine hydrochloride ranked the top 3 in application frequency. Doses of sertraline hydrochloride and escitalopram oxalate were significantly lower in the adolescent group than in the middle-aged and elderly group
and doses of duloxetine hydrochloride were significantly higher in the male group than in the female group
with statistically significant difference( P < 0. 05). CONCLUSIONS: The application of antidepressant drugs in inpatients with depressive disorder is mainly new types of antidepressant drugs
and the application of antidepressants in psychiatric hospitals was mainly sertraline hydrochloride
escitalopram oxalate and venlafaxine hydrochloride. Doses of sertraline hydrochloride and escitalopram oxalate are generally lower in adolescents with depressive disorder than in middle-aged and elderly patients
and doses of duloxetine hydrochloride were higher in males than in females.
