OBJECTIVE: Based on the method of network pharmacology
to explore the pharmacological mechanism of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction in the treatment of colorectal cancer( CRC)
so as to provided a basis for the application of classic prescription expansion and drug mechanisms research. METHODS: The main chemical components and targets of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction were obtained through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform( TCMSP). CRC disease targets were collected by OMIM database
TTD database and GeneCards database. The protein-protein interaction( PPI) analysis and PPI network diagram were performed by STRING platform. Metascape platform was used to conduct statistical analysis on "drugscomponents-targets"
biological processes and pathways. Finally
the Cytoscape software was adopted to establish the network of"ingredients of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction-colorectal cancer-pathway". RESULTS: The core active ingredients of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction in the treatment of CRC were baicalein
naringenin
formononetin
1-Methoxy-phaseollidin
etc; the core targets were HSP90 AA1
ESR1
AR
NOS2
etc; the main participated pathways were cancer-related pathway
CRC-related pathway
IL-17 signaling pathway
endocrine resistance pathway
apoptosis pathway
etc; the functions of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction were mainly to regulate transcription factor binding
nuclear receptor activity
transcription factor activity
steroid hormone receptor activity
protein kinase binding
etc. CONCLUSIONS: This study has preliminarily verified the action mechanism of Shengjiang Xiexin decoction in the treatment of CRC
and provided theoretical basis for its clinical application and mechanism research.
