OBJECTIVE: To rapidly evaluate the efficacy

safety and economical efficiency of Bailing capsule in the treatment of renal disease

so as to provide evidence-based evidence for clinical rational drug application.METHODS: CNKI

EMBase and the Cochrane Library were retrieved for health technology assessment（ HTA） reports

systematic review/Meta-analysis and pharmacoeconomics studies of Bailing capsule in the treatment of renal disease

qualitative description was adopted to analyze the involved studies and conduct quality evaluation on the methodology. RESULTS: Totally 11 studies were involved

all of which were systematic review/Meta-analysis

7 studies were for patients with diabetic nephropathy

3 studies were for patients with chronic kidney disease and 1 study was for patients after kidney transplantation; no HTA reports and pharmacoeconomics studies were retrieved. Results indicated that the clinical efficacy of western conventional therapy combined with Bailing capsule in the treatment of kidney disease was generally better than western conventional therapy

which had certain advantages in reducing the 24 h urine microalbumin excretion rate

urea nitrogen and C-reactive protein levels; at the same time

it had low incidence of adverse drug reactions and high safety. CONCLUSIONS: Bailing capsule has good effectiveness and safety in the treatment of renal disease. In the future

further pharmacoeconomics studies on Bailing capsule can be considered to supplement its economic evaluation evidence in the treatment of renal diseases.
