OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Xingnaojing injection in the auxiliary treatment of consciousness disturbance induced by systemic diseases
so as to provide evidence-based references for clinical practice. METHODS: The Cochrane Library
Pub Med
Wanfang
CNKI and Sinomed databases were systematically retrieved to collect systematic review/meta-analysis of Xingnaojing injection in the treatment of consciousness disturbance. After two reviewers screened the literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria
extracted the data and evaluated the quality
the evidence was comprehensively analyzed. RESULTS: A total of 5 literature were included
all of which were systematic review/meta-analysis
with medium overall quality. In the treatment of consciousness disturbance induced by carbon monoxide poisoning
hepatic encephalopathy
alcoholism and pulmonary encephalopathy
compared with conventional treatment alone
the combined application of Xingnaojing injection can significantly increase the effective rate of treatment and shorten the recovery time of poisoned patients
shorten the disappearance time of symptoms of alcoholism patients and improve the arterial partial pressure of oxygen and carbon dioxide
the differences were statistically significant( P < 0. 05). CONCLUSIONS: Xingnaojing injection in the auxiliary treatment of consciousness disturbance induced by systemic diseases can further improve the clinical efficacy. However
further clinical studies should be performed to clarify the safety profiles and comparative effectiveness among other active comparators.
