OBJECTIVE: To probe into the efficacy of Guanxinshutong capsule combined with metoprolol in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris (UAP) and its effects on hemorheology and inflammatory factors. METHODS:Totally 300 patients with UAP admitted into Qingyang People’s Hospital from Jun. 2017 to Jun. 2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table
with 150 cases in each group. The control group was given metoprolol orally
while the observation group was given Guanxinshutong capsule on this basis
both groups were treated continuously for 4 weeks. The clinical efficacy and incidences of adverse reactions
changes of symptoms
hemorheological indicators and inflammatory factors [tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α)
high-sensitivity Creactive protein (hs-CRP) and myeloperoxidase (MPO) ]of both groups were observed. RESULTS: The total effective rate of observation group was 90. 67% (136/150)
which was significantly higher than that of the control group (77. 33%
116/150)
with statistically significant difference (χ
2
= 9. 921
P = 0. 002). Compared with before treatment
the frequency of UA reduced
the duration of shortened and VAS scores of UA decreased in both groups after treatment
and the improvements of the above indicators of observation group were significantly better than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences (P
<
0. 05); after treatment
the whole blood viscosity
plasma viscosity ratio
hematokrit levels and serum inflammatory factor (TNF-α
hs-CRP and MPO) levels of both groups significantly decreased
and those of the observation group were significantly lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences (P
<
0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions of observation group was 6. 67% (10/150)
which was significantly lower than that of the control group (15. 33%
23/150)
with statistically significant difference (χ
2
= 5. 754
P = 0. 016). CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of Guanxinshutong capsule combined with metoprolol in the treatment of UAP is remarkable
which can significantly improve clinical symptoms and hemorheological indicators
reduce inflammatory factor levels and adverse reactions.
