OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of tanshinone ⅡA sodium sulfonate injection combined with Bailing capsule in the treatment of chronic renal failure and its effect on renal function and renal fibrosis index.METHODS: Totally 105 patients with chronic renal failure admitted into Liyang People’s Hospital from Oct. 2017 to Oct. 2019 were selected and divided into control group （52 cases） and treatment group （53 cases） via random number table. Both groups were given conventional therapy

the control group treated with Bailing capsule based on conventional therapy

while the treatment group was given tanshinone ⅡA sodium sulfonate injection combined with Bailing capsule based on conventional therapy

both groups were treated continuously for 2 months. Differences in interleukin-6 （IL-6）

high-sensitivity C-reactive protein （hs-CRP）

tumor necrosis factor α （TNF-α）

serum creatinine （SCr）

blood urea nitrogen （BUN）

urine protein quantitation in 24 h （24 h UPQ）

transforming growth factor β （TGF-β）

connective tissue growth factor （CTGF） and IV-type collagen （Col-IV） between two groups before and after treatment were compared

the clinical efficacy and incidences of adverse drug reactions of both groups were recorded. RESULTS: The total effective rate of treatment group was 86. 79% （46/53）

which was significantly higher than that of the control group （69. 23%

with statistically significant difference （P<0. 05）. After treatment

CTGF and Col-Ⅳ levels of both groups had been significantly decreased

and those of treatment group were significantly lower than the control group

with statistically significant differences （P<0. 05）. The incidences of adverse drug reactions of control group and treatment group were respectively 9. 6% （5/52） and 11. 3% （6/53）

the difference had no statistical significance （P > 0. 05）.CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of tanshinone ⅡA sodium sulfonate injection combined with Bailing capsule in the treatment of chronic renal failure is remarkable

which can significantly inhibit micro-inflammatory reaction

improve renal function and postpone renal fibrosis

with high safety.
