OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical application status of carbapenems and tetracycline in inpatients in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University（hereinafter referred to as "the hospital "）

and to explore the rationality of drug application

so as to further standardize the specialized management and the rational application of carbapenems and tetracycline by clinicians.METHODS:Retrospective analysis was conducted on 315 discharged patients who received carbapennenes and tetracycline from Oct.2018 to Mar.2019.Special review and statistical analysis were performed on rational drug application to find out the existing problems

and corresponding measures were taken.RESULTS:The rational application rate of carbapenems（including meropenem

imipenem

cilastatin sodium and piapenem） and tegacycline in 315 patients was relatively low

only 183 cases（58.1%） were rational.There were 132 cases of irrational drug application

mainly due to improper indications

followed by low filling rate of special management

incomplete medication records in the course of disease

and incomplete consultation forms.CONCLUSIONS:There are many problems in the clinical application of carbapenems and tigecyline

the specific management rate is low.It is necessary to strengthen the management

regularly carry out special review work

improve the level of rational drug application by clinicians

and reduce the generation of drug-resistant bacteria.
