OBJECTIVE:To investigate the clinical application status of rivaroxaban in inpatients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation
so as to provide reference for the rational use.METHODS:Clinical data of inpatients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation in vasculocardiology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University(hereinafter referred to as "our hospital") from Aug.2018 to Dec.2019 were retrospectively extracted.Statistical analysis was performed on indications
contraindications
usage and dosage
drug combination
drug conversion
and adverse drug reactions/events.RESULTS:A total of 191 patients were treated with rivaroxaban
among which 14 cases(7.33%) had no indications and 12 cases(6.28%) had contraindications. There were 93 cases(48.69%) with insufficient dose
9 cases(4.71%) with excessive dose
13 cases(6.81%) with irrational drug frequency
and 20 cases(21.98%) with irrational conversion with other anticoagulants.CONCLUSIONS:There is still a certain gap between the clinical application status and relevant requirements of rivaroxaban in inpatients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation invasculocardiology department of our hospital
in which the insufficient dose of rivaroxaban is the most common
and the irrational application of rivaroxaban in patients associated with coronary heart disease is more complicated.Pharmacists should actively participate in the drug therapy of these patients and further standardize the clinical application of rivaroxaban.
