OBJECTIVE: To probe into the efficacy and economics of 4 kinds of drugs in the treatment of schizophrenia.METHODS: Clinical data 500 patients with schizophrenia admitted into the outpatient and inpatient department of Nanchuan People’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from Apr.to Aug.2019 were collected and divided into the group A（ n = 128）

group B（ n = 126）

and group C（ n = 123） and group D（ n = 123） via different treatment regimen.Group A received Risperidone tablets with a maintenance dose of 2-6 mg/d

group B was given Olanzapine tablets with a maintenance dose of 5-15 mg/d

group C was given Aripiprazole orally distegrating tablets with a maintenance dose of 10-30 mg/d

and group D was treated with Quetiapine fumarate tablets with a maintenance dose of150-750 mg/d.The treatment course of four groups was > 6 months

and the time node of case data collection was 6 months.The clinical efficacy

adverse drug reactions and recurrence rate of 4 groups were observed

and the costeffectiveness analysis of pharmacoeconomics was used to evaluate the economics.RESULTS: The total effective rates of group A

C and D were 88.28%（ 113/128）

89.68%（ 113/126）

89.43%（ 110/123） and 88.62%（ 109/123）

respectively

with no statistical significance（ P>0.05）.The incidence of adverse drug reactions in group A

B

C and D were 17.97%（ 23/128）

16.67%（ 21/126）

15.45%（ 19/123） and 16.26%（ 20/123）

respectively

with no statistically significant difference（ P > 0.05）.The per capita cost of patients in four groups was 112.23 yuan

1 858.56 yuan

1 576.86 yuan and 1 087.98 yuan

among which group A was the lowest.According to the results of cost-effectiveness analysis

the cost-effectiveness ratio of the regimen in group A was 1.27

significantly lower than 20.72 in group B

17.63 in group C and 12.28 in group D（ P<0.05）.The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of group B was1 247.38

with the largest additional cost advantage.The incremental cost-effectiveness ratios of group C and group D were 9 764.20 and 2 869.85

respectively

suggesting that increasing the cost would reduce the efficacy.It was shown that group A was the most advantageous regimen and was not affected by the sensitivity analysis results of each group.CONCLUSIONS: The efficacy of four different drug regimes in the treatment of schizophrenia is similar

among which risperidone is the most economical.Clinicians need to choose rational drugs for the treatment of schizophrenia according to the specific situation of the patient.
