OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of heat-clearing and detoxifying anal carbuncle decoction combined with conventional therapy in the treatment of early low perianal abscess

and to observe its effect on wound healing

plasma endotoxin level and cytokine transformation balance of Th17/Treg.METHODS: 90 patients with early low perianal abscess admitted into People’s Hospital of Huangpi District from Jan.2017 to Mar.2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table

with 45 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional therapy

while the observation group was treated with heat-clearing and detoxifying anal carbuncle decoction based on the control group.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy

tumor necrosis factor-α（ TNF-α） and transforming growth factor-β（ TGF-β） levels of both groups were observed.RESULTS: The total effective rate of observation group was 93.33%（ 42/45）

which was significantly higher than that of the control group（ 84.44%

38/45）

with statistically significant difference（ P < 0.05）.After treatment

various symptom and sign scores of both groups had been significantly decreased

and those of observation group were significantly lower than the control group

with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05）.After treatment

the length of wound of observation group were significantly shorter than that of the control group

the depth of wound of observation group were significantly shallower than that of the control group; the wound healing time of observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group

with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05）.After treatment

the plasma endotoxin levels of both groups had been significantly decreased

and that of observation group was significantly lower than the control group

with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05）.After treatment

the IL-17 and TNF-α levels of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group

while the IL-10 and TGF-β levels were significantly higher than those of the control group

with statistically significant differences（ P<0.05）.CONCLUSIONS: Heat-clearing and detoxifying anal carbuncle decoction can effectively improve symptom and sign in patients with early low perianal abscess

which can promote wound healing

reduce plasma endotoxin level and regulate Th17/Treg transformation balance

with significant efficacy.
