OBJECTIVE: To investigate the influencing factors of serum digoxin concentration( SDC) monitoring
and to provide reference for rational drug use in clinic.METHODS: Retrospective analysis was performed on results of 978 cases with steady-state SDC monitoring in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from Jan.2013 to Jan.2018.Effects of gender
age
creatinine clearance rate( Ccr) and types of drug combination on SDC distribution and toxic response were analyzed by Chi-squared test
and relevant factors were included in Logistic regression analysis.RESULTS: Chi-square tests showed that SDC distribution and toxic response could be significantly affected by Ccr
SDC distribution could also be affected by age
toxic response could be affected by gender and types of drug combination( P < 0.05).Logistic regression analysis revealed that SDC distribution could be significantly influenced by Ccr
and toxic response could also be significantly influenced by gender
types of drug combination and level of SDC( P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS: The individual differences between SDC and toxic response are large and there are many influencing factors.SDC and clinical manifestations should be monitored and individualized
drug administration regimen should be formulated to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug therapy.
