OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effects of quality control circle（ QCC） in reducing error rate of drug dispensing in pharmacy intravenous admixture services（ PIVAS）. METHODS: The number of error of drug dispensing in PIVAS was collected as the research data before QCC activity in Beijing Hospital in Mar. 2019. According to the steps of QCC

the error rate of drug dispensing in PIVAS significantly decreased from 11. 03‰（ 279/25 295） in Mar. 2019 to 5. 69‰（ 116/20 371）

and the difference was statistically significant（ P < 0. 05）

which was lower than the target improvement value（ 6. 51‰）

and the target achievement rate was 118. 14% and the improvement rate was 48. 41%. The operating procedures of PIVAS were added and the system was revised. At the same time

the scores of the QCC members such as communication and cooperation and problem solving were significantly improved. CONCLUSIONS: The application of QCC tools can reduce the error rate of drug dispensing in PIVAS
