OBJECTIVE: To probe into the clinical efficacy of Shuangguo Houle decoction in relieving postoperative sore throat after intubation in general anesthesia. METHODS: Totally 140 patients with intubation in general anesthesia in Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Aug. 2018 to Aug. 2019 were extracted to be divided into the observation group and the control group via the random number table

with 70 cases in each group.The control group was treated with local spray of warm water

while the observation group received local spray of Shuangguo Houle decoction. Pharyngeal discomfort

which can effectively reduce the incidence of pharyngeal discomfort

significantly shorten the duration of symptoms

improve the degree of sore throat

and relieve postoperative symptoms of sore throat.
