OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effects of intestinal probiotics adjuvant therapy on red blood cell distribution width/platelet count( RPR) index and liver fibrosis in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease( NAFLD). METHODS: Totally 130 patients with NAFLD admitted into Shanghai Changning District Tianshan Road Community Health Service Center from Jan. 2018 to Mar. 2019 were extracted to be divided into the study group and the control group via the random number table
with 65 cases in each group. The control group was given NAFLD conventional treatment
while the study group additionally received Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule on the basis of the control group. Differences of RPR
body mass index( BMI) and liver fibrosis index [serum hyaluronic acid( HA)
procollagen type Ⅲ( PC-Ⅲ)
collagen type Ⅳ( Ⅳ-C)
laminin( LN) ]levels of two groups were compared before and after intervention. RESULTS: After intervention
the levels of RPR and BMI in both groups were lower than those before intervention
moreover
the levels of RPR and BMI of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences( P<0. 05). After intervention
the levels of HA
PC-Ⅲ
Ⅳ-C and LN in two groups were significantly lower than those before intervention
and the study group was significantly lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences( P < 0. 05). CONCLUSIONS:Intestinal probiotics in the adjuvant therapy of NAFLD can effectively reduce the levels of RPR
BMI and liver fibrosis indicators in patients
which is conducive to the control of disease progression.
