OBJECTIVE: To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of combined traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of postoperative enteroparalysis of recal cancer based on Meta-analysis.METHODS: CNKI
PubMed
VIP database
CBM and Wanfang database were retrieved to collect the clinical randomized controlled trial( RCT) of combined traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of postoperative enteroparalysis of recal cancer( the observation group was treated with combined traditional Chinese and western medicine
while the control group received western medicine). After the data were extracted and the quality of the included literature was evaluated
Meta-analysis was conducted by RevMan 5. 3 software. RESULTS: Totally 6 literature were collected
including 528 patients. Meta analysis results showed that the total efficiency of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group( RR = 1. 22
95%CI = 1. 13-1. 32
P<0. 000 01)
and the TCM symptom score was significantly lower than that of the control group( MD =-1. 15
95% CI =-1. 24--1. 06
P <0. 000 01)
bowel sound recovery time( MD =-16. 59
95% CI =-19. 05--14. 14
P < 0. 000 01)
recovery time of exhaust( MD =-12. 30
95%CI =-13. 07--11. 52
P<0. 000 01)
recovery time of defecation( MD =-14. 17
95%CI =-17. 17--11. 18
P < 0. 000 01) and disappearance time of abdominal distension( MD =-1. 13
95% CI =-2. 07--0. 19
P = 0. 02) were significantly shorter than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences. The disappearance time of gastrointestinal decompression in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group
but the difference was not statistically significant( MD =-0. 17
95%CI =-1. 83--1. 49
P = 0. 84). During the treatment
no obvious adverse drug reactions occurred in both groups. CONCLUSIONS: Compared with conventional western medicine
combined traditional Chinese and western medicine has a better curative effect on postoperative enteroparalysis of rectal cancer. In view of the limitations of this study
more high-quality
high-level randomized controlled trials are expected to provide more rigorous and reliable data.
