OBJECTIVE: To probe into the efficacy of oxycodone hydrochloride for tissue-selecting therapy stapler( TST) in treatment of severe hemorrhoids. METHODS: 80 patients with severe hemorrhoids received TST in Wuhu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Dec. 2018 to May 2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group via random number table
with 40 cases in each group. The control group was given 0. 1 μg/kg of sufentanil for intravenous injection at 10 min before pulling out the stapler
while the observation group was given0. 1 mg/kg of oxycodone hydrochloride for intravenous injection at 10 min before pulling out the stapler. Differences in visual analog score( VAS)
Ramsay sedation scores
analgesic satisfaction and incidences of postoperative complications were compared between two groups. RESULTS: At the end of surgery
at 2 h and 4 h after surgery
there were no statistical significance in differences in Ramsay sedation scores between two groups( P>0. 05); at 12 h after surgery
the Ramsay sedation score of observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group
with statistically significant difference( P<0. 05); at 24 h after surgery
the Ramsay sedation score of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group
with statistically significant difference( P<0. 05). After surgery
the VAS of both groups were decreasing at varying degrees with time; at 4 h
8 h
12 h
24 h and 48 h after surgery
the VAS of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group
with statistically significant differences( P<0. 05). The analgesic satisfaction of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group [95. 00%( 38/40) vs. 75. 00%( 30/40) ]
and the incidence of complications of observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group [7. 50%( 3/40) vs. 27. 50%( 11/40) ]
with statistically significant differences( P<0. 05). CONCLUSIONS: The application of oxycodone hydrochloride before the end of TST has a good sedative effect
and also reduces postoperative pain and complications
