OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effects of propofol combined with dizocine anesthesia on psychological anxiety and comfort of patients undergoing gastroscopy. METHODS: Totally 300 patients undergoing gastroscopy admitted into Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from Jan. 2018 to Aug. 2018 were extracted to be divided into the control group and the observation group via patients’ preference
with 150 cases in each group. The control group was given routine gastroscopy without anesthesia
while the observation group received propofol combined with dizocine anesthesia. The anxiety score and comfort score of two groups were observed before and after gastroscopy. Differences of gastroscopy time
discharge time
postoperative nausea
vomiting and dizziness of two groups were compared.RESULTS: A total of 118 patients were included in the control group and 126 patients in the observation group. Before and after gastroscopy
the anxiety score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group;and after gastroscopy
the anxiety scores of two groups were significantly lower than those before gastroscopy
differences were statistically significant( P<0. 05). After gastroscopy
the comfort score in the observation group was significantly higher than that before gastroscopy and the control group after gastroscopy
the differences were statistically significant( P < 0. 05). The difference of gastroscopy time between two groups was not statistically significant( P>0. 05). The discharge time of the control group was significantly shorter than that of the observation group
and the incidence of postoperative nausea
vomiting and dizziness was significantly lower than that of the observation group
with statistically significant differences( P < 0. 05). CONCLUSIONS: Propofol combined with dezocine anesthesia can significantly reduce anxiety in patients undergoing gastroscopy
but may increase patient discomfort after gastroscopy.
