Objective: To explore the effectiveness of application of Hand Manual for Patients through scientific medication intervention by pharmacists in children with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods: Totally 120 children with SLE admitted into Beijing Children’s Hospital
Capital Medical University from May 2018 to May 2019 were extracted to be divided into the intervention group and the control group via the random number table
with 60 cases in each group. Children in both groups were given conventional treatment
and the intervention group was given scientific intervention with Hand Manual for Patients
while the control group received conventional health education. Intervention effects were evaluated in terms of the level of disease awareness
disease activity index and treatment compliance of the children. Results: Before intervention
there were no statistically significant differences in the level of disease awareness
disease activity index (SLEDAI) and family care index (APGAR) scores between two groups (P>0.05). After intervention
the level of chronic disease awareness
MG
SLEDAI
and APGAR (cooperation
maturity and intimacy) in the intervention group were better than those in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The application of rational intervention means by clinical pharmacists such as Hand Manual for Patients
can help caregivers to establish the correct concept of drug use
which is conducive to the control of condition and improvement of quality of life
