Objective: To probe into the application value and mechanism of omeprazole in children with Henoch-Schöenlein purpura. Methods: Totally 95 children with Henoch-Schöenlein purpura admitted into Yingshan People’s Hospital from Jan. 2012 to Feb. 2018 were extracted to be divided into the study group (n=50) and the control group (n=45) according to different treatment regimens. The control group was given methylprednisolone
while the study group received omeprazole combined with methylprednisolone. The efficacy was evaluated and serum levels of IL-4 and IL-6 were detected before and after treatment in two groups. Results: The total effective rate in the study group was 96.0%
higher than 82.2% in the control group (P<0.05). The disappearance time of abdominal pain
rash resolution and fecal occult blood conversion time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment
the levels of IL-4
IL-6
and CD8+ in two groups decreased
and the study group was lower than the control group; the levels of CD3+ and CD4+ in two groups increased
and the study group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). No significant adverse drug reactions occurred in both groups and the drugs were well tolerated. Conclusion: Methylprednisolone combined with omeprazole in the treatment of children with Henoch-Schöenlein purpura has higher safety
