Objective: To probe into the infection rate of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in children with chronic idiopathic urticaria (CCSU) and the response of CCSU to Hp treatment. Methods: Totally 120 children with CCSU admitted into our hospital from Jan. 2014 to Oct. 2018 were extracted as the observation group
while 60 adult patients with chronic urticaria were selected as the control group. Patients in both groups were treated with levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets for one month
and patients with Hp infection were given anti-Hp drug for one month. One month after treatment
the clinical efficacy of two groups were evaluated
and the blood cell count and other serological indicators of two groups were analyzed. Results: The positive rate of thyroid globulin antibody (TgAb) in the control group was higher than that in the observation group
with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the positive rate of serum Hp antibody between two groups (P>0.05); the positive rate of serum Hp antibody in the ≥10-year-old group was higher than that in the <10-year-old group
and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Serum Hp antibody expression was positively correlated with gastrointestinal symptoms (r=0.461
P<0.05). The symptom remission rate of the observation group after anti-Hp infection treatment was higher than that of the control group
and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hp plays an important role in the pathogenesis of CCSU
especially in ≥10-year-old children. Hp infection is associated with gastrointestinal symptoms
and radical Hp may contribute to the improvement of CCSU symptoms.
