Objective: To probe into the clinical efficacy of moisture exposed burn ointment (MEBO) combined with 3M liquid dressing in the treatment of neonatal diaper dermatitis. Methods: A clinical controlled trial was conducted on 110 neonates with diaper dermatitis in our hospital. All children were randomly divided into the control group (MEBO alone) and the experimental group (MEBO combined with 3M liquid dressing) by coin toss. The clinical efficacy
pain degree and adverse drug reactions of two groups were compared after treatment of 3 d. Results: The wound healing time of the experimental group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P<0.05). The number of children in the experimental group with pain degree of 2
3 and 4 was less than that in the control group. In terms of the clinical efficacy
the number of cured cases in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of mechanical skin injury and secondary allergic dermatitis in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions: The clinical efficacy of MEBO combined with 3M liquid dressing in the treatment of neonatal diaper dermatitis is significant
which can significantly improve the pain condition of children and reduce the incidence of clinical adverse drug reactions.
