plays an important role in cell proliferation. We investigated whether NSA2 is involved in the choroidal neovascularization(CNV)
a common pathological process in many retinal diseases. Methods: CNV model was induced by 532 nm laser coagulation in 16 mice.Five days after laser photocoagulation
NSA2 mRNA level in the posterior segment of the eyes was detected by Real-time quantitative PCR.NSA2 expression in eyeballs was detected by immunofluorescence staining with a NSA2 antibody on frozen sections. Results:Compared with the untreated control group
the level of NSA2 mRNA was scientifically up-regulated in the CNV group(P<0.05).Immunofluorescence showed that the rate of NSA2-positive cell in CNV tissue was higher than that in normal choroidal tissue(P<0.05);NSA2-positive ganglion cells were found near the CNV area in the treated eyes
but was not in the remote area of the CNV eyes and in the control eyes. Conclusion:We found that NSA2 was up-regulated in with a mouse model of CNV.Our data suggested that the nuclear protein may associate with the pathology of choroidal neovascularization.
