Objective:To analyze the sex difference

cause and motivation of unnatural death and sudden death.Methods:Forensic autopsy data of 3014 cases of unnatural death and sudden death in nine counties of Northeast Sichuan Province during 2005~2009 were studied.Results:The male and female proportion was 1.9∶1

and the peak age was 15~45 years.The major death time was at 10~13 h in summer and winter.The peak age of sudden death was moving to younger groups.The major causes of sudden death were cardiovascular system disease and central nervous system disease.The major injury instruments for murder were single-bladed sharp tools

and dispute was the major motivation of murder.The major causes of suicide death were pesticide intoxication

hanging and drowning.Conclusion: In order to decrease the occurrence of unnatural death and sudden death

we should pay particular attention to adolescent psychological health

and young and middle-aged people’s health hazard

and should strengthen supervision for focal period of time and controlled knives

and enhance the legal consciousness of adolescents.
