WEN Jing, et al. Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome:a clinical analysis of 43 cases[J]. Journal of Chongqing Medical University, 2010,35(12):1898-1899.
therapeutic effects of the staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome(SSSS).Methods:The clinical data of the patients with SSSS were analyzed.SSSS was diagnosed by the clinical manifestation and laboratory examination.43 cases were divided into three groups:the mild group(11 cases)
the heavy group Ⅰ(16 cases)
and the heavy group Ⅱ(16 cases).Oxacillin sodium(25~50 mg/(kg·d)) was used in all groups;but cefradine(50~100 mg/(kg·d)) or cephazolin sodium(20~40 mg/(kg·d)) was added to the heavy group Ⅰ and the weight Ⅱ group and methylprednisolone(0.5~1.5 mg/(kg·d)) was added to the heavy group Ⅱ
The course of therapy was 5 days. The starting time for skin hydroa drying up and skin erythema regression
as well as the hospitalization time were recorded.Rusults:SSSS occurred more in young children(less than three years old)
and the exfoliative toxin genes(eta、etb) were mostly positive. After treatment
the starting time for skin blister drying up and skin erythema regression as well as the hospitalization time for the mild group were shorter than those for the other two groups(P<0.05)
with shorter time for the heavy group Ⅱthan for the heavy group Ⅰ(P<0.05).Conclusion:Infection must be the mostly common motivation for the SSSS.Early diagnosis and use of effective antibiotic drugs are the key points for decreasing mortality.Short-term and low dose of ACH has positive effects on severe SSSS.
