Objective:To provide an animal model platform of experimental study on liver cancer by establishing a liver tumor model implanted with S180 sarcoma in mice and observing their biological characteristics. Methods:Intrahepatic implantation method was used to establish liver tumor model with S180 tumor piece in mice.Immune organ index
tumor size
tumor metastasis
and life-time of tumor-bearing mice were observed.Tumor tissue morphology was observed by HE staining.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect protein expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and nm23 in tumor tissue. Results:Modeling achievement ratio of transplantation hepatocarcinoma model with S180 in mice was 100%.The average life expectancy of tumor-bearing mice was 22.80 ± 5.87 days.Body weight and tumor volume increased gradually in a time-dependent manner
but thymus index of the liver tumor mice tended to descend
and the number of mice with ascites and metastasis was gradually increased.Tumor tissue grew strongly;VEGF expression was positive and nm23 was negative in the tissue. Conclusion:The liver tumor model implanted with S180 sarcoma in mice is a good experimental animal model for experimental study on liver tumor.
