Objective:To investigate the tendency of pathogens distribution and drug resistance in patients receiving mechanical ventilation in ICU and to provide the reference for rational use of antimicrobial drugs. Methods:Pathogens distribution and resistant rate of patients receiving mechanical ventilation were analyzed by retrospective analysis.Data was analyzed by WHONET5.4 software. Results:A total of 2 850 pathogens strains were isolated
of which Gram-positive cocci
Gram-negative and fungi accounted for 15.2%
70.1% and 14.7% respectively
the strains of Flavobacterium increased from only one in 2007 to 76 in 2009.Methicillin resistant strains in S.aureus(MRSA) and S.epidermidis(MRSE) accounted for 71.2% and 96.6% respectively
no vancomycin or linezolid resistant strains were found; ESBLs positive rates of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Ecoli were 63.7% and 62.1% respectively
14 strains of KPC positive Klebsiella pneumoniae were found
the resistant rates of Acinetobacter baumannii to imipenem were 0% in 2007 and 66.2% in 2009.Conclusions :Non-fermentative gram-negative bacilli are the majority of the pathogens isolated from patients receiving mechanical ventilation
and some strains are multiresistant
surveillance of their prevalence and drug resistance may provide evidences for rational antibiotic choices.
