period for 5 to 14 days. Results:The cure and effective rates were 77.1%and 96.2%
respectively in balofloxacin group
81.8%and 97.3%
respectively in levofloxacin group;the bacterial culture-positive rates were in balofloxacin and levofloxacin group 78%and 77.3%
respectively;the bacterial eradication rates were 95.1%and 94.1%
respectively;the adverse events rate were 8.2%and 8.9%
respectively. There were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Balofloxacin is as effective and well-tolerated as levofloxacin for the treatment of bacterial infections in urinary system respiratory tract.
