Objective:To explore the effect in severe craniocerebral injury patients treated by early stage mechanical ventilation.Methods:96 cases were randomly divided into two groups:48 cases in group A received early stage mechanicaI ventilation right after their admission;48 cases in group B received Oxygen instead of mechanical ventilation.Blood-gas indexes(PaO2
PaCO2
SaO)2of the two groups
before and after mechanical ventilation were monitored and prognosis of the patients were analyzed. Results:The indexes such as PaO2
PaCO2
SaO2 in Group A were much more improved than those of Group B.According to the GOS prognosis evaluation six months later
prognosis of patients in group A were superior to that of patients in group B(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early stage mechanical ventilation can improve the prognosis of severe craniocerebral injury patients with hyperventilation.
