Objective:To compare the efficacy between MECT combined SSRIs therapy and single SSRIs therapy in the treatment of moderate-severe Depression.Methods:150 patients with moderate-severe depression were random divided into group of MECT combined SSRIs therapy and single SSRIs therapy group. The clinical efficacy were assessed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)for five time(sbefore therapy
on first
second
fourth
sixth weekend). Results:Comparing the research group to the controlled group the effect was obviously better on first;second
fourth and sixth weekend according to HAMD scores decreasing(P<0.01).The research group presented effect on the 6th weekend
which gained a significant improvement rate and efficient rate of MECT(P<0.05).Concusion:The clinicians may choose the effective MECT combined SSRIs therapy as a way of treating moderate-severe depression.
