Objective:To investigate the frequency and antihiotic-resistance of inducible-clindamycin-resistant Staphylococci for rational prescription of antibioties. Methods:Erythromycin-inducible-Clindamycin-resislant staphylococci were detected by using D test recommended by Clinical Laboratory Standard Institution(CLSI/NCCLS)
and the resistance of meihicillin-resisiant Staphylococcus and Methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus to 12 kinds of antibioties were detected. Results:Among 310 strains of Staphylococci
in strains of erythromycin-resistani-and-clindamyein-sensitive Staphylococci
the percentage of MRS with positive D test was 6.6%(12/183)
and that of MSS was 18.1%(23/127). There is significant difference between them(x~2=9.99
P<0.01). Of 51 strains of erythromycin-resistant-clindamycin-sensitive Staphylococci
68.6%(35/51)showed positive D test resuhs. Except for cotrimoxazole and vancomycin
the resistance of MRS to the other 10 antibiotics was much higher than that of MSS
and the difference is significant(P<0.01). Conclusions:D test can be used for detection of erythromyein-inducible-clindamycin-resistant Staphylococci
and strains with positive D test results show resistance to clindamycin
which will guide rational prescription of antibiotics
such as macrolides and lincomycin.
