Objective; To explore a new method and its clinical significance of restorative ceramo - metal by using cast metal post -core to reutilize the broken crown. Methods; 30 teeth were restored with ceramo - metal tooth by using cast metal post - core in order to preserve the old broken base tooth

and their prognoses were observed. Results: 30 teeth post - core were inserted smoothly

and PFM crowns border sealed. During 5 years follow up

93% (28 teeth) cases were successful

although unfortunately there were 2 cases of failure with split of tooth root. Conclusion; Restoration of ceramo - metal tooth by cast metal post - core in order to reutilize the broken crown of the base tooth is convenient

time - saving and well casted

therefone it could be used widely in clinic.
