Objective:To study the effects of MRI in the follow-up after HIFU.Methods:The tumor-like proliferation of monkey uterus was treated with high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)then followed up with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to observe the change of signals of treated region. Results:The blood flow signals were not observed in treated region with MRI after HIFU.The volume of treated region decreased gradually
which was consistent with the results of pathology and B-ultrasound.Conclusion:MRI is efficient in follow-up for the change of signals of treated region after HIFU and can reflect the histological change of treated region precisely.
