Objective To investigate the causes of iatrogenic cryptorchism
precautionary measures and treatment. Methods 27 cases were reviewed. Among them
20 cases were caused by incorrect operation of hydrocele of tunica or hernia. 4 cases were caused by the inappropriate local injection treatment. 3 cases were caused by inguinal traumatonesis. Results 26 cases received orchidopexy
1 case received orchiectomy for overall testicular atrophy. 15 cases were followed up after operation. All testes are in the scrotum
but their growth are worse than that of nomarl testes. Conclusion Incorrect operation and inappropriate local injection treatment are factor of iatrogenic cryptorchism. The spermatic cords and testes were injured more seriously than congenital cryptorchism. Once it was diagnosed
it’s important to do orchidopexy as early as possible .
