E7 correlate with cervical carcinoma and cervicitis in Chongqing. Methods Amplification and cloning of HPV16 E6
E7 genes were performed by PCR and molecular biological techniques. Results Detection rates of HPV16 E6
E7 in biopsies of cervical carcinoma and cervicitis were 70% and 65% in Chongqing. Conclusion HPV16 infection might correlate with cervical carcinoma and cervicitis occurrence in Chongqing. E6 might function on advanced stage of cervical carcinoma while E7 might function on early stage .
