The condition of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma infiltration and metastasis[J]. Journal of Chongqing Medical University, 2000,(4):350-351. DOI: 10.13406/j.cnki.cyxb.2000.04.006.
Objective To explore the role of apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) infiltration and intrahepatic metastasis. Methods Using the in situ DNA end-labeling
light microscopy
electron microscopy in combination with computer-imaging analytic technique
we tested quantitatively apoptotic cells in 55 HCC tissues. Results AI was significantly lower in poorly differentiated HCCs than well differentiated HCCs(P<0.05). Furthermore
HCCs with infiltration and intrahepatic metastasis had a significantly lower AI than those without infiltration and intrahepatic metastasis
respectively (P<0.05 and P<0.01). Conclusion AI has a close relation to some biological characteristics of HCC. The abnormal change in apoptosis may play an important role in the infiltration and intrahepatic metastasis of HCC.
