The impact of open heart surgery with cardiapulmonary bypass under beating heart or rested heart on cTnI and MDA[J]. Journal of Chongqing Medical University, 2000,(3):296-297. DOI: 10.13406/j.cnki.cyxb.2000.03.027.
Objective To evaluate the myocardioprotective effect of beating heart surgery. Methods Twenty- seven patients with mitral lesions were randomly divided into two groups. Cardiac troponin Ⅰ(cTnl) and malonic dialdehyde(MDA) were investigaed preoperatively and postoperatively. 13cases in beating group with mitral valve replacement were performed on beating heart with mild hypothermia and CPB
and 14 cases in nonbeating group with mitral valve replacement were performed under conventional cardiac arrest. Results The postoperative cTnI and MDA in beating group were much lower than that in nonbeating group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The myocardioprotective effect of open heart surgery on beating heart is relatvely better than that of cardiac arrest
and the myocardial damage is lighter
because of less myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury.
