Preliminary study on the diagnosis of carotid atherosclerosis by duplex ultrasonography[J]. Journal of Chongqing Medical University, 2000,(2):177-178. DOI: 10.13406/j.cnki.cyxb.2000.02.025.
Objective:To assess the value of Duplex ultrasonography (DUS) in the diagnosis of carotid atherosclerosis. Methods:Detect the carotid arteries atherosclerosis patients with DUS and compare the data to those of normal people. Results:The detectable rate of carotid stenosis and plaques is higher in stroke patients than in non-stroke patients. The data of non-stroke patients in DUS mainly display increased intima-media thickness (IMT). Conclusion: The clinical diagnosis of carotid atherosclerosis could be made by DUS.
