The purpose of this work was to study the relationship of QT dispersion to the degree of coronary artery stenosis and to left ventricular dimension. The QT dispersion(QTd) in 65 patients with single-vessel coronary artery stenosis(>60%)and 35 normal subjects was investigated.Among the patients were 28 with enlarged left ventricles. The results showed that QTd in stenosis patients with and without enlarged left ventricle was significantly longer than that in normal subjects

and that QTd had a positive relation to the degree of coronary artery stenosis and the left ventricular dimension. This indicates that QTd could be an index for the evaluation of degree of coronary artery stenosis and left ventricular dimension.
