Purpose To evaluat the effect of cryopreserved limbal stem cells allograft transplantation for ocular surface disorders (OSDs). Methods The fresh limbal stem cells tissues after taking graft for keratoplasty were cryopreserved by progrsm-controlled Bio-Freezer. Four (five eyes) patients with OSDs were treated by limbal stem cells allograft transplantation. Results The comeal epthelium of Five eyes were healed in steady state with a mean time of 7.6±5.7days. There was no bad reaction as inflammation or rejection. Four eyes have definite increase in vision except one eye. Conclusions The remaining limbal stem cells after penehating keratoplasty can be used by Cryopreservation and can provide more limbal stem cells grafts for clinical OSDs.
